APEX Training Camp for USA PhO (APEX P06)：本课程结合推导和练习，讲授USA PhO比赛所需的进阶物理知识。以历年USA PhO真题， 和中国高中物理竞赛复赛及决赛的题目为蓝本，讲授在物理竞赛中的分析和解题思路。在本课程之前，强烈建议学员先完成APEX Single Variable Calculus (M02), APEX Multivariable Calculus (M03), APEX Calculus-based Mechanics （P03），和 APEX Calculus-based Electromagnetism (APEX P05) 的学习。学员应对物理学习有热情，并拥应有较强的自学能力，以完成本课程所需的拓展阅读。本课程采用网络授课共60小时，分为 A/B 两个部分。 APEX提供大量针对性习题，同学们可以根据自己的时间安排完成。
Session A：本课程共授课30小时，讲解力学和电磁学的高阶知识，以及狭义相对论。同时介绍微分方程，线性代数，和复变函数在物理中的应用。
Session B：本课程共授课30小时，讲解热力学和简单量子物理知识。同时介绍微分方程，概率论，线性代数，和复变函数在物理中的应用。
Course Description: APEX USA Physics Olympiad Training Camp (APEX P06) is designed to equip highly motivated students with the advanced physics knowledge necessary to succeed in the USA Physics Olympiad (USAPhO). The course features in-depth analysis of past USAPhO problems as well as selected problems from China’s highly competitive national physics competitions. Students are expected to demonstrate strong motivation and independent learning skills, as the course includes extended reading assignments beyond standard instruction. The program is structured into two sessions, each comprising 30 hours of live online instruction. In addition, APEX will provide a comprehensive set of practice problems that students can work through at their own pace to reinforce concepts and enhance problem-solving skills.
Prerequisite: Students should have already studied calculus-based mechanics and electromagnetism. We strongly recommend students to finish math (APEX M02 and APEX M03), and physics (APEX P03, APEX P05) courses before entering USA PhO training.
Text Book (required): Halliday & Resnick, Fundamentals of Physics. Students can subscribe for WileyPlus to access additional digital resources, or have a physical copy for future references.
Contents:
Session A: Advanced Mechanics, Electrodynamics, and special relativity.
Session B: Thermodynamics and introduction to quantum physics.
During both sessions, necessary mathematics topics will be covered including differential equations, linear algebra, complex functions, and probabilities.
