APEX Algebra-based Physics – Advanced (APEX P02):本课程为APEX Algebra-based Physics – Introductory的进阶课程。通过大量练习,由浅入深的帮助学员们理解和应用经典力学原理。在本课程之前,强烈建议学员先完成APEX Algebra-based Physics – Introductory(APEX P01)的学习。本课程着重于加深理解力学概念,建立物理模型,并且熟练的应用物理公式。本课程采用网络授课共30小时,并希望同学们使用10-30小时左右时间完成课后作业。学员在完成本课程后建议参加AP Physics 1考试,并且参加后续 APEX Calculus-based Physics 课程。

 

Course Description: APEX Algebra-based Physics – Advanced (APEX P02) is an algebra-based, college-level physics course that explores topics such as Newtonian mechanics; work, energy, power, torque and experimental design. This course will provide students with more real-world applications and problem solving practices compared to APEX Algebra-based Physics -- Introductory (APEX P01).

Reference book: "College Physics: A Strategic Approach," by Knight, Jones, and Field, or an equivalent textbook.  

*We do not require students to use the book for our course. Instead, we strongly recommend students to take notes and take advantage of lecture slides, lecture recordings, homework assignments, homework solutions, exams and office hours to maximize their learning outcome.

Unit 1 Kinematics (3 hours)

Unit 2 Applications of Newton’s Laws (6 hours)

Unit 3 Energy and Momentum (6 hours)

Unit 4 Rotational Dynamics (6 hours)

Unit 5 Fluid Mechanics (3 hours)

Unit 6 Experiment design and analysis (3 hours)

Unit7 Mock test and recitation (3 hours)
